Huelsmann Distributing manufacturer of Car Chem Products

Huelsmann Distributing Co. was founded by Herman Huelsmann in November 1976, in Trenton, Illinois. Herman started selling out of one truck with 6 routes in a 100 mile radius of Trenton. Selling primarily car soaps, polishes, tire repair and additives. In January 1978, Kevin (son) joined the business adding the second truck and more routes. Later in 1978, Vern Langenhorst joined us adding a third truck, then in 1981 we constructed a new building n Trenton. In June 1982 Scott (son) joined the business and opened up the St. Louis Area. In 1985 Herman was forced to go on disability and Mary became the sole proprieter. In November 1986 we started formulating our own products consisting mostly of, that took the name of Car Chem Products as our trademark. In February 1987, Dale (son) joined us taking over the northern routes and also south to Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

In April 1988 Huelsmann Distributing Co. became a Corporation, Mary as President, Kevin-VP, Dale-Treasurer, Scott-Secretary. In this time frame we added a complete Body Shop line including automotive paint that we mix ourself. In May 1993 Lori (daughter) came to us as Operations Manager. Then in Ocotober 1997, Linda (daughter) joined as our Administrative Assistant. We are now in business for over 25 year and cover more than 200 square miles. We also have disbributors in Decator, Illinois, Paducah, Kentucy, St. Louis, MO and some eastern states.

Being a family business we care about our products and customers, that is what makes us so succesful.
